Lingerie & Sleepwear For The Full Figure
When searching for plus size lingerie, sleepwear and hosiery both online and in the store, unfortunately us big gals are often depicted in a lot of racy websites as sex gluttons in costume in the bedroom. The products on offer are cheap, gaudy and completely trashy. So we have to wade through that stuff to get to the kind of lingerie that will enhance our size and provide the best kind of underpinning for the full figure. For us, the right choices are super important and will allow us to wear and show off the prettiest dresses, tops, swimsuits - you name it - whatever we have a mind to wear. I'm somewhat disappointed in the scope of the offerings available. Choice is, frankly, limited. But that's the situation and we have to live with it. Means that we have to be more discriminating and careful when shopping. So what can I recommend? I have to say that Nordstroms comes out as my number one still with the Plus Size Shop in the Women's category. Isabella Oliver in London always has some nice things for the Mom to be as well. Bloomingdales has a plus size section. Check out this Wacoal "Delicate Notion" Full Coverage, Underwire Bra and High Cut Briefs. A sheer full coverage underwire bra in black with french seam and ornate lace trim detail. Thick adjustable straps with bow detail. Hook and eye closure at back. Sheer high-cut briefs with tonal stripes and ornate lace detail at sides. Elastic waistband and cotton gusset.It's a web id 452990 and the price of the combo is $86. Good looking and comfortable set. While we're at Bloomingdale's, this is a very pretty bra and pants set. La Mystere Lace Dream "Tisha" Bra and Briefs. The Lace Dream Tischa is a seamless full fit underwire bra. A great fitting bra for a smooth look, with decorative lace cascading over the edging of the bra and strap. Wide straps for comfort, hidden underwire and three hooks around back for added support. Made of Tactel to give a smooth soft look under any top. Hook and eye closure. Full fit, full coverage. The briefs feature a lace design, ruching in back for added flair and a cotton gusset. This is a pretty chemise - Midnight by Carole Hochman "Misty" Chemise. Comes in two colors black and black royal romance. Flirty chemise in a slinky jersey fabric is fashioned with a low-cut Empire bodice, crisscrossed at the front for flattering support. Approx. length from shoulder to hem: 37". Polyester/spandex. Nordstroms Item #264065 and the price is $85. Here's a nice robe to go with that chemise. Also by Carole Hochman, 'Midnight' Black Tie Robe. A satin tie at the front waist secures a supersoft jersey robe with a flattering silhouette and flounced three-quarter-length sleeves. On-seam pockets. Approx. length from shoulder: 39". Modal/spandex. Nordstrom's item #264066. The price is $86. This pretty and well supported bra is by Elomi. A 'Cleo' EL8001 Bandless Underwire Bra, Delicate embroidery graces a supportive underwire style. Bandless design offers a comfortable fit around the ribcage, ideal for short-waisted figures. Polyester/nylon/elastane. Nordstrom's item #260344 and priced at $54. Last but not least is this gorgeous Special Comfort (Miracle) Bodysuit by Anita in black or ivory. You can find this one at a favorite retailer - La Grande Dame. Anita has created the perfect body shaper with comfortable microfiber and serious control. Comfort and beauty? Definitely!
